DREAM BOSS - June 23rd - 26th
Atlanta, Georgia native Tara Gunter is a certified 6–12 Marketing and Entrepreneurship Educator and DREAM LAUNCHERS Coach who brings over 25 years real-world experience in Business, Marketing, Entertainment, and Education and a passion for empowering youth and communities through entrepreneurship, creative arts, and innovation.
Tara teaches in Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS), Georgia’s largest school district, where she has empowered hundreds of students to think and act like entrepreneurs.
As a former, longtime DECA Advisor, Tara has led Grayson High School students in DECA—a global student organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management—to win numerous awards and recognition over the years, at regional, state, and international levels while also building and developing their servant leadership skills in and outside of school. The result is empowered students starting their own businesses; studying marketing and business in college; travelling the world; giving back to their local and school community; and transforming into amazing, fearless and talented young leaders and professionals.
Tara's marketing and entrepreneurhip students have also included the GCPS Marketing Student of the Year (2024–25) and the City of Snellville’s Student Entrepreneur of the Year (2021). In 2024, she hosted a Market Day event where 70 entrepreneurship students successfully operated 24 student businesses selling products and services to over 1,000 Grayson High School attendees. In 2021, she also launched a tradition of Grayson DECA and Grayson High School student entrepreneurs appearing and showcasing their student businesses at the annual "Taste of Grayson" hosted by NG3 and the City of Grayson.
Tara recognizes how digital platforms and social media have transformed how, when and where young people launch businesses— they’re not waiting to graduate to get started. She’s on a mission to help students build the entrepreneurial mindset early and take action now.
